''... Besides revolutionary scepticism there is the fire of revolutionary conduct. Because the enthusiasm and strength of the young people is so strong, the engagement so total, the criticism of the apathy of the populace becomes a criticism of the country's leaders... According to Zilnik's creed, one must begin with revolution from the very beginning, even in a socialist country like Yugoslavia. The film is so skilfully made with interruptions and entr'actes that it becomes a parable which has to be decoded by the spectator and, thus, absorbs him - in the film.''
