The protagonists are old farmers who had settled in Banat after the First World War, in 1922. The drama focuses upon  several crucial moments in their lives. While feeding bulls, Brakus gets seriously injured. He is taken to the hospital and operated. During the period of the recovery he meets his old comrades with whom he evokes memories from the First World War. He remembers his  getting wounded, his stay in Bizerta infirmary, crossing over Albania, the time spent in America in 1910. In these segments of the drama archive materials have been included. Brakus goes to a spa, where he meets his old generation of Hungarian workers. They had either worked in the windmills or as bricklayers at the time of Brakus's settling, and also had assisted to the settlers in building their houses.
The immense life experience of all the protagonists is absorbed in picturesque scenes and wise stories, so that their speeches become a spontaneous meditation on  destinies of  people from this region.
