Seco Sabovic A young seamstress (Ivana) quits her job in a small factory and decides to accept a position as a waitress with a private restauranteur Seco, in the mountain town of Gusinje, on the Yugoslav / Albanian border. There she unexpectedly encounters two young men who came home from NewYork (where they work illegally). This film introduces the viewer to Albanian family traditions and customs, particularly the relationship between the young and the old generation. This film is one of the most accurate analyses of the closeness between tradition and culture of nations from Balkan. It was a highly noticeable attempt to erase ignorance and already spreading hatred against Albanians. Prizes and festivals: |
